Lot of absolutism and dead horse beating happening here.

Objectively Botterill’s first season was a failure at the NHL level in and of itself. The new coach and the new system didn’t fit with the players on hand and the majority of the players he acquired were failures.

It’s not clear yet if the organizational changes he made are long-term positives or not. The effects of his revamping of our scouting and development systems will take a while to reveal. Same with his management style and how he deals with people. And the same with the moves he made over the past few months to fix what he deemed needed fixing.

Last year may have defined Botterill’s career.
But I doubt it.
