My hope for this season is that JR doesn't trade the 2022 first. I don't think the wheels fall of this year, but they will soon and I don't want to miss out on the inevitable top 5 pick that results.

Next summer is another good lot of young players according to many insiders, arealdy depressed we pretty much traded most of our picks!!
Hopefully he can acquire a few besides 7th rounders!!

The season doesn’t even start for like 3 months. Relax.

Crosby/Malkin should always been a lock for playoffs but 33 year old Letang as your #1 D kind of neuters that.

7th in points % after horrendous injuries.
NHL Stats.

Now returning with better goaltending, coaching and wingers. We get Zucker for the full year, instead of 15 games. That's like an acquisition in itself.

Defense probably better too, no? Is Matheson worse than Johnson? Unlikely. Will Ceci even be a regular? Is he worse than Schultz was last year, in a 3rd pairing role?

You guys attach way too much weight to Crosby and Malkin. Make it sound like Basketball. They are just Forwards. Sid played 20:16 on average and missed 28 games.

We went 19-5-4 with Sid out of the line-up. Stop talking so much about our Centers regressing. It's not as impactful as you think.

There is no logical justification for the Pens missing the playoffs when you look at this team.

Hags and Hornqvist were coming off disappointing years.

You must have pretty high standards then..........

Hags broke his leg in 2016/17 but still was going at a 30 point pace and his advanced stats with Malkin were pretty awesome (much better than Geno away from him).

Carl Hagelin - Summary - Natural Stat Trick

Hornqvist had 44 points in 70 games, that’s a 52 point pace. Great advanced stats too

Yeah our top 6 with Kessel and Hornqvist was better balanced. More high-end skill and more down n dirty.

Our current top 6 is uh...faster.
