The thread title is a direct Dale Weise quote post-Rangers victory on Thursday.

"These are two teams that (are starting to) dislike each other. Those are the games we love to play."

What a hell of a statement on the team's warrior mentality. :handclap:

Weise is obviously saying that when the elements of hate and emotion are injected into a game... the Habs are at their very best.

Have MB and MT finally assembled a team of high character playoff warriors in 2015?

Comments anyone?

This team has tons of character!

Everyone made fun of MB for this at the time but we are now seeing why he was insisting on this.

Shouldn't be anywhere near the 1st line but I really like Weise.

In an ideal world, guys like Weise, Bickell, etc should never be on top lines, everyone will agree...

But in this case, with PAP injured, and with us only having one legit top 6 RW (gallagher), Weise is the obvious fit with Plekanec and Patch. I don't think he's doing half bad. The only other option is to put all our eggs in one basket with one big line.

But this is not the thread for this.

Guys like Weise have the right mentality for the PO. Now its gonna have to come down to guys like Pacio and DD to show they can kick it in fifth gear to take us to the cup.

For all the moaning that went on about 13th forward George Parros and 7th/8th defenseman Douglas Murray, the pickup of Weise should have a Weise appreciation thread that gets bumped daily. That was a great trade.

They can start hating Tampa any time now....The last two outings against them have been pretty suspect.

Weise is the perfect bottom pairing guy. He brings grit and speed and defensive responsibility, and can chip in on the scoresheet from time to time. Not a top-pairing guy, but he's been filling in for that role pretty good.

**** the Rags! This is a warrior team whether they have the talent to win the Cup or not, they aren't going to leave us short changed in the playoffs.

Weise always elevates his game when it counts; vs Boston, the Rangers, and in the playoffs.

I love that about him, but please take him off the top line.

Weise is a tremendous player for us. Out of role right now by playing on the 1st line, but guys like him are great to have for the playoffs. He proved that last post-season.
