Ehrhoff was still a number 4 defenseman on his worst days. The only reason fans hated him so much was because he could not hit the net ever.

Demelo on his best nights is still just a number 6 defensemen.

Idk. He basically had 1 season of truly great play and that was because he was plugged in as a sheltered #4 puck moving D on the best offense in the league.

He doesn't need to be truly great to be far superior to DeMelo. He never had a season as bad as DeMelo's best year being this past year.
