Has there ever been a rule that's been more universally disagreed on by the hockey community, that the NHL has stubbornly kept in play?

They were just talking about this on the Wings/Kings game. For a league begging for more offense, it would almost certainly create more turnovers. Yet the league continues to foolishly leave it unchanged.

Goalies play the puck more = goalies turn the puck over more.

Assuming you have a goalie that can play the puck.

I’m in favour of removing it. It forces more precision on a dump, and game planning a bit different on teams with good puck-playing goalies.

For the most part the majority of the goalies can play the puck just as good as the forwards can. If not better considering the equipment they have to use to do it with.
