Not a bad list. Not a lot of excitement up front, but hopefully AD's boy can be the 2-way, 70 pt guy he keeps pumping up.

I am not sure if he will be a 70 point guy but he could realistically be a 50-60 point guy if he hits.
He does look good. Glad we got him. Would have been nice to see him at the TC tourney, along with Mitchell.

However, we had Boqvist not looking so great there but doing much better in the preseason, and others who’ve looked good there but crapped out recently. Hard to tell sometimes.

Those are crapshoots if you ask me.

One other guy and me kept voting for Fortin and now I see he didn't even make the top-20. I don't know where he fits among the top-20 prospects but he should be in the top-20 somewhere.

I voted for him numerous times, though to be fair, I dont know much about the other prospects once they got past 10 or so

Most of us value upside and Fortin is a 4th liner at best.

I consider Joker already a vet. You can move him off the list. I think Kahun is going to stick around too as a mid level forward. He's a solid wing.

Fortin has played one NHL game in a top-6 role and didn't look out of place one bit - maybe give him some more games before writing him off as a "4th liner at best".
There's a huge difference between "not looking out of place" and actually being effective.

Fortin looks like Stalberg that actually cares

That's not a slight to him by any means, but his future in the nhl is limited. He's gotta perfect what he does to become a regular. That's just my opinion though.

So according to you 2 games is enough to determine a player is a 4th liner at best. Just curious, what criteria did you use to arrive at that determination?
4 goals in the AHL says a lot.

He's very much like Duclair. Has skill but can't finish. Even in the 2 game sample size it's been pretty evident.

And yet he is the player recalled from Rockford and put on the 2nd line. Hmmm ... Stan and Q must not have your player evaluation acumen.

Kyle Baun also got nhl games by Q... and all he showed was a few preseason games by having effort and being by the net but time by their displayed skillsets shows they don't have great shots, visions, or passing skills to even be good ahl players.

The comparisons and way people talk about Fortin is constantly strange to me. The stalberg, hino, etc... you mean guys who lit up the ahl by showing off their ahl clubs. Yeah he's fast and they're fast but that's only the comparable line between them.

Funny. I said the same exact thing to a buddy of mine at a bar and kinda mentioned that comparison on a GT. I see Stalberg but a bit more grit and less of a wrist shot (Stalberg had a very good wrister). Hockey I.Q., hands, etc. are close could go either way.. but it's early.
