I'm just wondering why you cant say the game starts at 2:30 am or start the anthems at 1:50 am so the game starts at 2 am. I just don't get why you would schedule a game for a certain time when you know that it wont start at that time

Because if they look competent there people might expect decent officiating or player safety. It's for the good of the sport, really.
