It's really well made and I enjoyed it.
The owl theory is also something I read about online after and it's intriguing.

For me, I think he probably did it but the state definitely did not prove it beyond a reasonable doubt, they rushed and the fraud spatter expert, I cannot believe he was found guilty. That said, he probably did do it and only got 8 years so not much sympathy from my end.

Guilty of the crime but not enough hard proof. The owl theory is insane, I just cant see any chance that happened, odds are too extreme.

I was absolutely sure that he did it. And that the owl theory was a bunch of Zapruder film nonsense.

But the more I thought about it, the more the owl theory actually kind of makes some one-in-a-million sense. I live not 20 miles from that home, and I’ve seen the way owls perch in the trees and dive-bomb their prey. These are not small birds. Their feet are the size of human hands. They do attack people on top of their heads and leave exactly the pattern of injuries that Kathleen had. I’ve also had the experience of having a relatively minor (bleeding, but no stitches) impact wound on top of my head, and passing all the way out for a moment because of the blood rush. If someone passed out abruptly and toppled down a staircase, while already bleeding badly from a head wound...

It’s such a long shot that this would happen, but the evidence does line up. If it did happen, that’s what it would have ended up looking like. Whereas there are some odd inconsistencies in the murder theory.

I found it weird he still lives in the area but the thing I found weirdest was he just stayed in the house with the blood spatter everywhere, like I don't know how anyone could do that lol, I know it was a huge house but that would be too distressing for me.

Presumably he had to take that staircase upstairs to bed every night.

Yikes.

Worth watching? Reviews seem to be a bit mixed.
I like it just for the early 2000s vibe since the whole thing was filmed in '02 and '03. It's a cool insight into legal stuff as noted above but the problem is, Michael Peterson isn't likable so it's hard to feel too bad for him (even if he potentially did 8 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit). Also it's lopsided in favor of Peterson(the defense) over the prosecution since the defense gave the doc crew more access.
