A few thoughts
-Yeo is not a good coach.
-Allen is not a good goalie.
-Blues blue line is overrated. Especially Parayko. Edmundson, however, is underrated.
-Blues will pull it toegther, they have a ton of new Fs and need them gel and find the right combinations.
-Jaden Schwartz is easily their best forward. ROR and Tarasenko are passengers.

Yeo is mediocre at best.

Allen is incredibly inconsistent and ultimately below average, but can go on very long tears that not even above average goalies go on. It's stupid to bank on that, but it's probably where we are until Husso gets an opportunity.

Their blue line is fairly rated to underrated, but only because their coaching doesn't utilize their offensive abilities better.

As an optimistic fan, I'm not convinced they'll pull it together enough under Yeo, but the potential is definitely there.

ROR is far, far, far from a passenger. His effort and performance has been great with the Blues and everywhere else he's been. This reeks of an axe to grind.

Neither Schwartz, NOR Tarasenko have been good this year. They're on a similar level in different ways. The ice tilts toward the offensive zone when Tarasenko is on the ice, but when he doesn't have the puck, he leaves something to be desired. Honestly, Schenn has been their most consistent forward in all facets since he arrived. It's funny to hear some Philly fans continue to chalk it up to his wingers when he's often the best player on the team for long stretches.

You need an elite center to win a cup. Show me the last team to win with a collection of 2C's like St Louis has. Doesn't happen. Crosby, Kopitar, Toews, Backstrom, now those are centers that win cups. ROR ain't winning a cup. Good team though.
ROR is Toews. Your post makes zero sense.

when is Ville Husso ready?
He should be considered as a reclamation project, rather than as a flat-out prospect.

He has the natural skill, but the drive and adaptation to the big league are still major question marks. The drive seems to have gotten much better in the last couple of years. Maybe a Finn can chime in here with more detail.

Explain this in any detail. Dude is 23, was very good in the AHL last year, and looked very good in Blues' camp.

Not really. Toews was a 65 point player on great Hawks teams, ROR was a 60 point player on cruddy teams.

I bet ROR hits 70 this year for the Blues

Look at the way they played instead of stat watching. Toews was a good skater with nice hands and could go through guys on his own, something I don't think ROR has ever really done.
