I can't recall seeing another player tip pucks like this. Where the puck goes across the body from forehand to backhand side, but you use the forehand of the blade instead of the backhand. He's amazing at it. The advantage of using the forehand vs the backhand is you can more easily direct the puck via the curve of the blade on the forehand side and Crosby is great at doing that and opening the face at the same time to put it under the bar.

Do you recall anyone else tipping pucks like that?

Only 3 media per post. This one from the hashmarks vs Philly in the playoffs for the hat was crazy.

I did it in a beer league game last year.
...totally meant to, yep, that's the ticket right there.

Anyway, here's Bobby Clarke. It's not exactly the same, as he sort of rotates towards the goal as he redirects the puck, so it's from the same planet.

Dave Andreychuk was phenomenal at deflections in front.
Yeah, he'd face the shooter and "front" the goalie leaning on his stick forward for full tripod leverage. Then deflect pucks through his own legs and on net.

Crosby sort of made baseball bat goals a trademark going into the playoffs a year and a half ago.
