Know those dudes, drank with those dudes. They were a good live band, in the days when that thing existed!

I don't care for modern country, either. I remembered seeing this cowboy dude playing surf music on this weird double neck guitar that was on a stand, like a pedal steel. It was the mid nineties on TNN and sometimes I'd wonder who it was, and I never knew until I stumbled across that very clip on YouTube. His name is Jr. Brown, and he is bad ass. He's relatively unknown, but has a huge cult following. He did the theme song for Better Call Saul. Just do a search on YouTube. He does several different classic rock melodies, surf instrumentals and many of his own country recordings. There are also some interviews, one of which he lays out his opinion of modern country music. Pretty interesting. I'd be surprised if no one here has heard of him. You guys have very broad and interesting tastes in music.

I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet, but for musicians, I highly recommend Brian's company Small Sound / Big Sound for all of your fuzz/distortion related needs.

Speaking of country, one of life's great pleasures is altering your state of mind and putting Lee Hazelwood on the stereo, with or without Nancy Sinatra to taste.

I actually had the very great pleasure of getting to see Junior Brown play live years ago. He was incredible. I didn't know much about him going in but I was an instant fan. What a talent.

And yeah his combination guitar/lap steel is pretty iconic.

@That1Kid can you make your Spotify Release Radar and Discover Weekly playlists public? I find this to be a nice way to discover new-to-me music.

Yeah, I've made it my mission to see him play live at least once. He clearly enjoys himself on stage.

Yup, I gotchu after work. I’ve been listening to a lot of rap lately, so I don’t think the Discovery playlist will be too useful for you, but the release radar has been pretty solid.

Yeah he was quite the character. Comes across as a VERY smart and insightful guy with lots of interesting takes. I wish I would have been able to find a way to chat him up for a minute.

Bleach is a pretty good TAD cover album, I'll admit.
