Where are people getting the idea that Burke has connections to the OBC? He's only been with hockey Canada recently, while Nicholson has been with the Oilers. I don't believe he's ever played with Lowe/MacTavish.

I'm not sure how this would be considered a negative when Gretzky and Burke are supposedly both in the mix for the same job. Not working together. If Gretzky did end up staying as assistant GM that's a positive if anything IMO.

I don’t care who they hire, I’m forever scarred after loving the Chiarelli hire...I don’t trust my own opinion anymore.

But, if the new guy immediately fires any and all of Mactavish, Howson, Sutter, etc, he’ll get a +1 from me.
