Not A Bad Period By The Buffalo Sabres
- A period wherein the Sabres concede 3 goals or less.

We gotta get better
- A phrase uttered by baffled looking players after a loss. Its is in essence meaningless, as the Sabres never get better.

The young Sabre just has to learn to speak the word nicely and polite.
Action is not necessary as long as you love what you are pretending.

Babcocked - a negotiating process of using a team one has no intention of signing with as leverage to get a better contract offer from another team.
Quennevilled - a diplomatic way of saying I have no intention of signing with that clown show you call a hockey team

Usage: The Sabres will get babcocked or quennevilled if they try to hire Laviolette, Gallant, or Boudreau.

It boggles my mind how Bogosian could get caved in shift after shift, making one egregious turnover after another, and the team kept playing him even as he regularly cratered their chances of winning.

That was pretty easy to be honest. The real challenge: Use Bogosian with words and phrases like “accountable, smart read, tape-to-tape pass, poise, high-effort.”

In the Panderverse
Bogosum - a combined measurement of elapsed time and human effort, equal to 12 years of peak performance. Example: American discuss gold medalist Al Oerter is but one of a short list of humans who achieved true Bogosum in the Olympics or any other physical or mental endeavor.

Jaybotts - (verb) When conjugated in a past tense (I Jaybottsed, you Jaybottsed, he/she/they Jaybottsed) it means to fail to act due to lack of awareness, or to act misguidedly.
Example: (pluperfect tense) "Before the bonus payment was due, he had Jaybottsed a trade, obtaining in return both inferior talent and at a higher total annual salary cap.
When conjugated in the future tense (I shall Jaybotts, you will Jaybotts), it means to needlessly delay necessary action, or to take impotent meaningless action .
Example: Given his track record, he will Jaybotts replacing his injured starting goaltender with a proven NHL backup or competent AHL'er.
Note: the verb does not conjugate in the present tense.
