The biggest positive I take out of this win is that we came back against a very stringent, structured and disciplined team. It's a good sign if nothing else.

Geno got us a point...as did Sid...regardless of his prior 59 minutes

he was really bad, like the worst game of the season bad...but he threw first punch, followed by that pretty shot....somehow still plus tonight I think

We are decidedly above-average 5-on-5. Maybe the goaltending needs to improve and that should be an easy fix if we want to do so.

The problem is the PP and the PK. We've looked good the last couple games because there has barely been any of that.

Also, our schedule has been very tough so far. 12 games, 8 from them on the road. Haven´t played Buffalo or New Jersey yet. Huge 2 points tonight. At home, we have 4 games and 4 of them are wins. This should even up eventually but so far our schedule has been really difficult. We could´ve been in a much worse position easily. Also, if we want to make the playoffs we will probably have to finish ahead of the Islanders. Feels like our key opponent this year imo.

Did a good job of breaking up NYI's chip and chase crap. If not for Barzal dad-dicking POJ and CDS biting even though Cizikas had no options it wouldn't have been a close game. We were way better tonight on average.

If the Pens dont want to fire Sully, (and IMO he has clearly lost the rooms ear, so they should despite him being a solid coach in many ways) ...then they should at least make him watch a couple games from the press box and evaluate the team from a different perspective real time....

watching tapes when you know the outcomes is not the same.....

If there was one thing DB was good at, he was winning in shootouts. Considering that's all they did half of the practices (still pisses me off), that's how it should be.
