Not strictly music but I thought I'd share the birth of Riverdance. This was the first time it was introduced to the world during the interval of the Eurovision song contest which was held in Dublin back in 1994. I was 8yo and I can still remember watching it vividly as I sat on the living room floor. Everyone knew we were witnessing something special, even as an 8yo I could sense it.
Jean Butler and a young Michael Flatley are the leads.
