Nice. Center won't be a glaring need going into next year again assuming we don't move Brassard.

What a busy day for the Pens. Like the first deal, not a big fan of the JJ potential signing, love this Sheahan move!

One year.. damn. Wanted a few. Guy really impressed me last year.

More term equals more caphit though. If we end up re signing Brassard then we don't want to be spending anymore than what he got.

If he plays well and Brassard leaves he'll get term and more money of course.

JR just keeping his options open.

So Sheahan and Brassard are UFAs after this season

Guentzel will get paid next offseason...wonder if we'll be able to keep one of them.

Guess one year is better than zero years.

Love Sheahan, wished we could have locked him up longer.

It gives us the freedom to see what's going to happen with Brassard I think. I could see us signing him for longer next year if Brassard is definitely leaving and Sheahan has a strong season.

Good deal. Was a bit nervous after he wasn't qualified (but understood why). Very glad he'll be coming back. I really liked his work last season. Often one of the consistently bright spots in the bottom six.
