give them good old fashioned wooden sticks?

Given the formula has gotten as stale as it has, I think this is a great idea. Go full retro and get the players to wear some older equipment (goalies) and old jersies.

Ive only played with wooden sticks. Of course I havent played ice hockey since 94 ish.

Are these new sticks that much better? Wood was great, had the lemieux blade, messiers kinda sucked was to flat. Id go through maybe 3 sticks a season.

I imagine they are lighter so perhaps swing speed would be faster? Idk but I couldnt imagine playing hockey without the weight and feel of a stick in my hand.
