People are still alarmist about what is a very, very risky deal for Boston...

Seguin, Peverley, Jagr, Horton out, Eriksson in? Come on people... That's TONS of depth there.

Tough to say who wins the deal. Bruins win now but in the future Morrow can be a top 4 solid D or Seguin can be a high end point producer.

Problem is that they've cleared up space, and unlike us, arent' afraid to use it.

Are you kidding? Bruins never overpay over the hill UFAs. They likely go hard at a vet like Iggy who wants a cup though.

Watch Boston sign Alfredsson now with his ties to Eriksson

@TGORSteve @DarrenDreger Ru-oh Warnesy. As @RileyhBFG points out. Eriksson and Alfredsson won a championship together with Frolunda in '05.

They're about to sign Rask to a 7M per year deal starting next season.
They get Eriksson at 4.25M.

They give Seguin at 5.75M and Peverley at 3.25M.

They had about 5M in cap space.

Makes it 5 + 5.75 + 3.25 (about 14)...
Then 14 - 7 - 4.25 equals roughly 2.75M.

What do you want to do with that?

I think Dallas will win this deal overall, but I still hate that Boston is getting Eriksson. As if one Bergeron wasn't enough already.

I also hate that it seems like the Leafs and Bruins are being active to improve their teams. I really hope MB has something up his sleeve to help us stay in contention.

Sign Alfredsson to a one year deal. Go for the cup all over again.

Good teams always find ways to get rid of ugly contracts and get better. Philly, Boston and Toronto are all getting better while we are planning a trio of plekanec/dd/gionta upfront. Disgusting.

Seguin is a year removed from scoring 67 points in his sophmore season. He's a player, despite the off-ice issues.
