The Olympic schedule is AWFUL. i have been saying that by more than a year now.
There should be at least a day off before the quarters. The whole tournament NEEDED at least two more days to be properly played, but i guess NHL had different plans..no way they were going to cancel one pre-season game to free two more days... :speechles

Perhaps.

However, that day will probably decide Pool A, with Canada playing the Czech Republic.

It will also probably weigh in heavily on the seeding for Pool B. Nobody wants to play Canada or the Czech Republic in the first elimination game. Thus, teams in Pool B will be wanting to finish in the top 2. February 21st may decide the teams that finish in the top 2.

yes. NHL starting 4 days earlier.

Hey, I'm all for it, but all the complaining from other people about how the season is already too long is almost not worth it.

But isn't those complaints mainly related at the number of games being played? Considering that the 4 added days would be 4 days of resting, I don't see a problem in that really.

Even better alternative. No NHL involvement in the Olympics.

Wow! You're so smart! I wish everyone would think like you! I mean, Olympics with or without the NHL players, what's the difference? :sarcasm:
