So, do you have any info that Klementiev is not a 1990 born anymore??))))))
I will write lines lately. As i heard the best from 1990 borns were Klopov and Kugryshev (has a wonderful season, really skillful, 9 goals at the regions... saw him in November in CSKA-2 match and he also looked amazing).

Mayorov scored 3 goals in 3 games :dunno: :dunno: :dunno: :dunno:

Sorry about the mistake, Klementiev was still officially born in 1990...
Kugryshev is indeed impressing more and more people (I will even pay more attention and try to avoid misspelling his name in the future) ;)

Yes, some.

The 1991 team played 3 friendly games in the Czech Republic at the end of December. The coach of the 1991 team is Vladimir Plyushev, who had great results when he was the coach of the Russian junior team (for the 1982 and 1983 generations if I recall correctly).

The team lost the first game 1-5, then tied 3-3, then lost the last game 2-3.

The teams was as follows:

GKs: Igor Bobkov, Nikita Lozhkin
Ds: Artem Bulichev, Dimitri Petrov, Mikhail Grigoriev, Roman Israfilov, Andrei Sergeev, Artem Zatsepin, Maxim Cherlyshev, Georgi Berdyukov
Fs: Andrei Kuchin, Maxim Kitsyn, Kirill Polozov, Kirill Lebedev, Alexander Avtsin, Oleg Li, Alexander Denezhkin, Dimitri Tarasov, Anton Burasov, Pavel Zotov, Stanislav Soloviev, Denis Smelov, and Airat Ziazov.
Kuchin ended up with only 1 assist (but 16 PIMs), and Kitsyn with only 1 goal. They were not playing on the same line. Kuchin was the captain, Kitsyn the assistant captain (Soloviev too).

There is a tournament coming up in the Czech Republic for the 1989 team, one in Tyumen for the 1990 team, and one in Finland for the 1991 team.

The preliminary roster of the 1991 Russian team is as follows:

GKs:
Igor Bobkov (Metallurg Magnitogorsk) 6’4 187
Eduard Reizvikh (Avangard Omsk) 5’9 141
Alexander Sharychenkov (Dynamo Moscow) 6’3 185

Any new guys which could be Ovechkins or Malkins level in a few years?

From what I understand, Andrei Kuchin '09 and Maxim Kitsyn '10 are supposed to be pretty amazing... there are others, as a matter of fact I've been told that Kuchin may be a bit 1-dimensional and there are other highly touted that slip my mind at the moment.

Does anyone know when Andrei Kuchin or Maxim Kitsyn will be making their respective debuts in the RSL?

Kuchin 16 years old and Kytsyn 14. Maybe Kytsyn in a two years taking into account that besides Chudinov he the only young "star" in Metallurg system and Chudinov already played same games in RSL play-off. I saw Kytsyn and he real monster... not just tall... his legs like two trees. Kystsyn already was invited in team camp and constantly played against older kids.

I don't know much about Kuchin, but CSKA have good direction and coach work with kids.

In this season in RSL "сome back" Spartak - team with tradition and youth school (Kovalchuk from Spartak school) and i think that we have a chance to see in RSL bunch of kids
including new "chuk" Ostapchuk.

Ostapchuk has been one of the leaders of the 1990 generation.
But why didn't he play on the gold medal U-18 team with other '90s such as Petrov, Kugryshev, Loktionov, Filatov, Voinov, Chudinov, etc.

Injury?

Problem with his passport. He was born in Belarus but always played in Russia. I hear that all fix.

from what i've seen of Andrei Kuchin i would say he reminds me very much of a young pavel bure. Of the 3 games i have of him on video he is by far the most talanted and dominating player on the ice.

Well my uncle lives in Moscow. He's grown to love RSL and everything.

I was actually talking to him about this when he visited late May this year. He said that we should be on the look out for Kuchin, Kytsyn and Filatov... In that order.

He says Kytsyn impressed him most with his ability to play at a high mature level.

It's fun having a global family. Uncles in Canada, Finland, Sweden and Russia all makes for a good network (all were born in Finland so they're all team Finland fans).

That would be amazing if RedAce did.

I'd love, with your permission (and if you do it), to include it in my 2008, 2009 and 2010 draft zone watch bios for the webpage I might make.

I'd take Petrov over Filatov. I saw the '90 team play a few games this past year and Filatov reminds me of a young Chistov.......great at this age but could encounter problems once 'size' plays more of a role as players get older.
Petrov was simply awsome in all aspects.

Kitsyn is 15 years old.
No new talets from Spartak Moscow school to be presented this year. Last year the team became bankrupt and best guys of '89 and '90 tems left Spartak. Waiting for year or two to see Kabanov (born in 92). He is the best of this year in Russia and has just come back to Spartak from CSKA.
Ostapchuck is in Yaroslavl. As i know all problems with his passport are solved.
I wouldn't take Petrov over Filatov.
Lazarev is not a leader? Hmmm he was a leader of Traktor when they won Russian championship.

He certainly not a leader in team Russia. Petrov, Kugryshev, Loktionov, Filatov, Ostapchuk all was invited on U-18 but not Lazarev.

NEW Kazan phenomenon RAISOV

FORGET about Kuchin too small for a big hockey business!

Best prospect in Russia RAISOV Aslan 29.12.90 Kazan AkBars-2 among 2009 Draft eligibles! He could be same level with FILATOV already now but late born! I'm sure he will make the team for U-18 WJC in Russia in KAZAN! In his POVOLZHYE league he is scoring each game! He had even game with 6 goals once season 07-08! LEFT Wing with Right stick isn't big just 179 cm and 69 kilogramms but with perfect skating and surprisingly holds the hits well though it's hard to catch him onto the ice with his mega fast speed. By November he played somewhat 24 games and scored 56 points! FANTASTIC UNDERSTANDING OF THE GAME. Hockey sense amazing. He will be practicing with senior team Kazan since November 2007 but it's still hard to understand if he gets his chance because of KAZAN problems in the league... Tell you more PETROV can't be compared to him even close! He was the most productive player at each junior tournament he played! Best scorer of pre-season tournament for "2" teams MOISEEV Memorial 12 PTS G2+A10. Now he isn't only assistant but a goal scorer!
