Wife's been away for 3 weeks now.

Things are going okay... But man, I'm lonely. Socially distanced hangouts with my family have helped a bit. But coming home from work to an empty house every day sucks.

She's enjoying her time with her family and friends... But I'm not gonna lie, I'm really looking forward to her being back here.

Hang in there Gabe. Better days will be coming. A lot of us here due to Covid are separated from love ones.
It can be very hard. Take care.

The US have about 4 percent of the world’s population and 21 percent of all Covid deaths and the highest unemployment since the Great Depression! And the worse is yet to come.

Germany is one of the best countries that handled C-19 with minimum casualties. A simple plan, listen to scientists and follow instructions. Being a scientist herself, it was a no brainer for Merkel.

I personally wouldn't accept a vaccine from China or Russia...from the US and any other manufacturer, only after being thoroughly tested in labs and then with the population. I'm in no rush.

We know this is due to northeastern state nursing homes and NYC. Take those out and we actually compared very favorably with other similar countries.

Unemployment is high because in 2 major states people are not allowed to work. California covid measures account for around 50 percent of all unemployment claims in the country. It's literally an enforced unemployment measure not and type of natural economic cycle or reaction.

It's frustrating to see people gawk at the unemployment rate and all the negative effects of our reaction to the virus while also saying how they are in no rush to participate in a solution while millions are losing everything and people are dying. Rather gross.

We had a bit of a reprieve and got to visit some family inside but we are back to distancing again. The cases are increasing rapidly even though our area was down to zero a couple of weeks ago. The spike is coming so Thanksgiving, second week of October in Canada, will be sad for many.

Somebody called in a bomb threat to NAS Pensacola. I have a friend who is stuck on the base until they clear it.

Threaten the military, what a great idea. :skeptic:

All excuses based on a flawed view of reality. You participate on the solution created by inaction from those you keep defending.

Took a 30 minute walk today to get out and get some photos of the foliage and it triggered my headaches again. I’m so over this concussion. I’m starting week 3 and I feel pretty good outside of the headaches and lingering fatigue which makes this all so frustrating.

If they don’t go away by the end of the week, I have to see a specialist and they’re going to put me on even further work restriction at the worst possible time.

That % is also if people are dumb enough to believe China's claim of only 3000 COVID deaths...

In my industry people are refusing to work and still staying on unemployment because it pays more. Lots of slow downs and shortages due to not enough labor.

Just so many people making out like bandits to not work.

If they refuse to go back after being called back they're ineligible for unemployment...
