what wrong with being "cocky" i mean sports are interesting when there a bad guy .
It's almost always different generations having different takes on what is or isn't acceptable for a player to do. A lot of old timers are not fans of guys being flashy on or off w/e surface they play on while a lot of younger folks find that kind of behavior entertaining. There is a difference between being "cocky" and being a dbag though and the line that separates the two can be confusing at times.

theres hockey fans who thinks cracking a smile is "disrespectful"
