Bossy was an elite sniper.
Bure was an elite opportunist.


Bure was flashier but Bossy was more impressive imo.
As has already been pointed out, Bure only matches Bossy in peak. Bossy owns every other category.

Bossy - by far

he was not as athletically gifted as bure, but consider his accomplishments:

despite being targeted physically by the opposition every night (hence his early retirement due to back problems), he posted 9 straight 50-goal seasons and was unconscious in the playoffs; bure never showed himself capable of that sort of consistent excellence in crunch time. Bossy also excelled internationally, scoring 8 goals in the 1981 canada cup and the historic winner against the soviets in the semi-final game in 1984.
