Bagels are like bread plates. You can put so many different things on them to keep it interesting. Jam, uniquely flavored cream cheeses, sausage, eggs.

Posting this is making me realize I've undervalued the bagel.

Side bar: I had the Montreal bagel when I was in Montreal and it was clutch.

I'll take it ALL. Breakfast food is best food! Do they make breakfast sausages the size of italian sausages?

I am sure they do, or can, or you could with a roll of thawed pork sausage meat. There is a place in Chicago that makes these big pizzas (deep dish, of course, unfortunately) and they make a sausage the size of a dinner plate that covers the pizza exactly. It's absolutely massive, and so is every single person who has ever eaten one.

Finally we can agree on something. Let that big toe breathe.

@Captain Dave Poulin whats the difference between jam and jelly? I guess I use jelly?

Jam has grotesque chunks of fruit in it - jelly is nice and smooth. Jam is for people who party like it's 1599 and don't realize that society has invented ways of manufacturing fruit products so they get all the obnoxious natural bits smoothed so they slide right into your guts with less effort. Toe jam has grotesque bits of fungus in it (allegedly), so it is basically the same as all jams.

Put me down as one who enjoys either jelly or jam. Strawberry, Raspberry, Grape and Apple are my favorites in no particular order.

On the subject of bagels...my father-in-law fishes (a lot) and every month or two,, when they are in town he will bring a couple of bags of smoked trout.
Toasted bagel with cream cheese and smoked fish....

This gif is disturbing the hell out of me. It's like those Pixar outtakes when the character's face goes nuts and their eyes are floating outside their face.

If you live near Ambler or Conshohocken, there's a Mexican joint named El Limon. Just go in and pay them $100 to drown you in their green tomatillo sauce. Trust me.

I hope this doesn’t hurt our friendship. But I love the fruit chunks and seeds in it. I also like chunk peanut butter to go with it. I’m so sorry ....
