I couldn't do Keto. Too weird for me..buttering up bacon and putting in it coffee? Lol

Best bet is "whole30" guideline.

I'm not a heavy person (I'm 6'3 and was 215) but dropped 21 pounds in 3 weeks with no exercise routine simultaneously. My weight loss was 25 pounds in the 30 days. My body fat was around 8%.

Reason I liked it was no measuring and it was logical to me.

If you have any questions, ask away.

It's a tough 30 days for some. I don't drink anymore (bless you Irish genes for forcing a few lifetimes of consumption by 40 ).

It's a weird, trippy experience eliminating the "sugar dragon" and solidifying eating habits (what you crave).

These days I'm about 90% compliant. The key for me is I'm not suffering. It's just how I prefer to eat, if that makes sense.

First beer at 14? Wow

If you want me to be completely honest, I had a toothache at 10 my dad used some rolling rock and rubbed some around the pain of the tooth and I felt no more pain. So that was the first time alcohol has touched me.

The funny thing is for all the beer and liquor I have ever had, Champagne I never had, but I did have the Champagne of beer miller high life.

My "wife" has been on the keto diet for almost 2 years. Which means I have become a keto chef.... It's not too bad I think the carbs and bread or the hardest part you have to get a little creative but I've made her Pizza with no carbs or very little carbs cheesesteaks Chinese food tacos Indian food Italian food. The toughest thing preparing all this stuff because she doesn't cook is counting your carbs and making sure you don't knock her out of ketosis. When I first started doing all this cooking for her the hardest thing we're deserts because 99% of the keto recipes on the internet are horses*** . After a lot of trial and error I've been able to make ice cream parfaits cookies fudges puddings and pana cottas for desserts. And as far as beer goes you can drink like three low-carb beers at 24 hour. And it won't knock you out of ketosis. But only three beers and being low-carb beers are two strikes in my book. Anybody have any questions or anything about keto stuff let me know. I'll help if I can. Oh yeah she's lost like I think 120 lb in the first eight months. And she's maintain the weight loss through the keto diet and exercise.

I have a lot of questions, but here is the first one:

I am OK with the carbs vs protein, but how much do you have to worry about getting fats?
