I’ve ate many cookies I never even had before in my life. Candy apples. Cheesecakes. Gertrude Hawk chocolates. I’m dead

I'm proud of you.

This will give your immune system the proper workout.

I had Turkey, ham, roast beef, lobster mac n cheese, green bean casserole.

Multiple plates, I'd say 4.

Dessert, peach cobbler, pudding, cake, pie, etc.

Appetizers, mini wini , crackers, cheese, candy,

I even reserved the basement toilet for me only.

Typical family dinner, but for the first time in four years (since my mom passed), i made her amazingly awesome CornFlake and Peanut Butter/ Butterscotch "cookies". We learned this recipe from our 80 year old neighbor when we lived in Bigglerville, PA when i was 6 and made them every year after. They were always my favorites around the holidays but after she passed i couldn't bring myself to make them.

If you're a fan of savory/sweet snacks, this one might be for you. Incredibly simple - even @Striiker could do it (with parental supervision, obviously). 11 oz if Butterscotch chips, 1 cup of peanut butter (has to be a brand name, creamy, and non reduced fat/natural - the consistency just doesnt fit otherwise - ive tried). Melt the PB and butterscotch over a low heat, stirring to avoid burning. When you get a creamy consistency , mix in 4 cups of corn flakes and remove from heat. Spoon out on to wax paper in to half-dollar sized dollops. Give about an hour to cool, and then enjoy!

Hope everyone had a happy and safe Holiday season!

Believe it or not, I’m actually not too bad in the kitchen. ;)

Although I still get grief from my parents about this one time I accidentally lit their microwave on fire...

But that sounds good. Maybe I’ll try it out.

I remember when i had an E-Z bake oven, too! Its super easy to make, and comes out more like a bark then a cookie, but man are they delicious.

Also - not sure if this is the right place to announce it or not, but who cares - im officially moving back to the Philadelphia area in 2 weeks! wootwoot!

So 11oz is the size of the bag. I'm sure you could go bigger but I'd keep the ratios of the recipe at least close to similar. The "glue" of ob and butterscotch can't be too runny (too much butterscotch) or it won't hold the corn flakes together, likewise if you use too much PB itll be too firm.

I've done alight modifications to thebrecipe in the past:

Replace butterscotch with chocolate chips, and replace the corn flakes with rice Krispies to make a choc PB crisp.

If you want to add to the sweetness, replace the corn flakes with frosted flakes. They also make different flavors of frosted flakes you could use, but I've never gone down that path (chocolate forsted flakes, for instsnce).

I hardly ever eat any "crap" food that is bad for you... because there are so many alternatives that taste great+are good for you. (though ofc love a Pizza or a Kebab every now and again!)

But was back in the UK for Christmas and brought back a load of frozen Holland's pies to Denmark with me... I mean, kilo's worth, took up like a quarter of my suitcase.

Best mass produced pies on earth for me. One thing Lancashire is exceptional at (aside from sport!) is pastry. I always struggled to get a half decent pie in the UK as soon as I got south of ~Stoke and Nottingham. Northern pies=Just amazing.

I usually always put on quite a bit of weight and body fat over Christmas... first year ever I have managed not to, simply as trying to take water polo seriously again and attempting to play in the top league in Denmark and the Baltic cup. Though still dont know how I managed not to...

mainly though because being back in England for three weeks meant I was meeting family or friends every single day (I mean, almost, I think 19/21 days or so I was out of the house) as had not been back in over 10 months... and meeting them means at least ~4 beers or so, sometime a hell of a lot more.

Wait a minute, didn't you balk at the process of blending tomatoes, adding some seasoning and meat, and simmering it for a few hours?

Alright, I've seen enough of British baking to be skeptical whenever you people say any of your cities/towns/regions are "great" at anything.

Do these pastries include sugar, or do you sub that out in lieu of pork blood?
