Not as good as homemade naturally...

but decent for shop bought.

I was not happy with how dinner turned out. Just about everything went “wrong”
The steak wouldn’t get a sear, it was a tad too big for the pan. The salt treatment I have it last night made it way too salty even after multiple rinses and soaks.
Somehow the potatoes came out a little bland, even though it had plenty of salt, butter, and chives in it.
The green beans came out the best.

I believe I’ve found the root cause of your problem. You drowned your steak instead of killing it proper, with a bolt gun.

And as someone who openly says potatoes are over rated, I agree. Mashed potatoes are great and the best way to have them...except for french fries and potato chips of course.
I love all things potatoes, and rotate through them. Next steak will have baked potatoes.

Wife brought home flank steak which was enough of an excuse to use the grill for the first time in months. Marinated in lemon juice, worcestershire, soy, olive oil, S&P, garlic, thyme, maybe something else I'm forgetting. I reduced some reserved marinade and then added butter and heavy cream to make a killer sauce. Garlic butter green beans and leftover roasted potatoes (they weren't good)
