Tampa is just a f*ing machine right now. I’m genuinely concerned about them getting 50 shots on goal against us.

I know it’s hockey and anything can happen, but if Tampa won the next two cups I wouldn’t bat at eye at it. Not likely, but man they have the depth to pull it off.

Any way you cut it, that is one difficult schedule. Logic tells me that it'll be a small hockey miracle if Hawks are anywhere close to a PO spot by late March.

The beauty of hockey is that any team can win on any given night. Hawks are playing good hockey this season, so they should be in all of these games. Against Tampa you need to play them tight and win the special teams battle. Will no doubt be a tough stretch.

Think I'd consider 15 pts out of that stretch a success; 10 pts would leave me a bit disappointed but could be the reality for a young team going through that gauntlet.

I'd say the teams above them, too. Tampa is the only team head and shoulders above the rest.

Dallas, Carolina, and Nashville aren’t anything all that scary. Not sure how scared of Florida I’d even be after their hot start.

Not saying the Hawks are better than all those teams necessarily, but it’s not like we should expect to lose nightly.

These next two games will be interesting in terms of seeing our progress. In my opinion this is not the same team that lost those first two games. Play as a team has improved as has goaltending and individual play by many of our guys.

Hawks are not playing well IMO. They are getting their share of points here and there but I don't particularly like how their game has veered off course.

Hope for .500 the rest of the way----problem is I think the Hawks had to play their version of playoff hockey to get to this point which is a credit to the coaching, but I don't believe they have an upside even with Dach unless Toews can also enter the mix. Play hard and smart and hope for the best.
