Minds change, narratives change. Also, how weird is it that Friedman refused to comment on Benning/Green during the intermission a few days ago and today is publicly saying that Benning could get fired soon?

Too funny LL, my wife is from Ottawa we share the pain of having a horrible owner. My wife just walked by while this Wisebrod pic was on my screen. Her comment: “is that one of those dumb hockey people you’re so often reading about?” She sure hit that nail on the head.
Jethro/Jethrine (Puke emoji)
If it ends up Weisbrod at the helm I'd rather keep Jim but strip him of all powers except to sell Pearson at the TDLThe Benning firing countdown is on, great news!

Worst coach in Canucks history, Bill LaForge, was 4-14-2 when he was fired.Well if the Canucks are 6-20, then the firing squads come in.
But it should be coming soon, the public will lose their shit of the Canucks are 6-20.

6-20 ain't far off that territory of crap if they get to that record.
I’d add Rathbone.Keep: Pettersson, Hughes, Demko, Horvat, Hoglander, Podkolzin.
The rest can be traded, need a competent GM to rebuild this team.
Why he can’t even beat out Chatfield for minutes. Use him to dump a salary. Might be a Bartkowski at best. Not significant.I’d add Rathbone.
They're actually lucky this is happening during pandemic. Imagine an arena semi-full seeing this "entertainment" (and paying full dollars for it)? That was back then, this time around with social media and public out cry as big as ever..one more lose could really spell disaster.

My Wife was born in Toronto, and grew up in Calgary. She cooks in a Leaf’s Crockpot, and reads by the light of a Flames table lamp.Too funny LL, my wife is from Ottawa we share the pain of having a horrible owner.
It would be nice to see Rathbone play. This is exactly why we need a new GM now, so there can be an evaluation process. Why he can’t even beat out Chatfield for minutes. Use him to dump a salary. Might be a Bartkowski at best. Not significant.

Sure it would be nice but if he performs like rafferty the jig is up. Send him down to the minors and met him play with players closer to his level. It would be nice to see Rathbone play. This is exactly why we need a new GM now, so there can be an evaluation process.

He’s a long term prospect. Needs game time against lesser pros.It would be nice to see him play an NHL game, but with Hughes and Schmidt (and Myers sigh) his skillset doesn't really fit the team anymore

The Canucks prospects after Podkolzin are extreme long shots to be NHLers let alone difference making top of the lineup players.
If they could sacrifice Rathbone/Lind/Dipietro to get rid of Beagle/Roussel/Eriksson you have to do it.
Which is why we need a new (and good, of course) GM now. These moves need to be planned, and completed before the draft. He’s a long term prospect. Needs game time against lesser pros.
