- pretty crazy, how long time ago

English tier 1 league was still called Division 1

In 1991 Manchester United had

7 league titles
7 FA Cup titles
1 European Cup title (Champions League)

Alex Ferguson have had 3 full seasons behind United's bench.

Bryan Adams hit, rock ballad - (Everything i do) i do it for you, was #1 at the charts
Robin Hood : Prince of Thieves was #1 at the box office

I feel behooved to point out that United also won the European Cup Winners Cup that season, and everyone was pretty chuffed about it, didn't feel like a disastrous season at all. "Always look on the bright side of life" was the fans anthem during that run.

That team also contained many stalwarts of those first Premier League titles - Irwin, Bruce, Pallister, Phelan, Ince, Robson, McClair, Hughes, Sharpe.

That's why MU is so popular in NA. They have bandwagon fairweather born after the 80s fans. Their English fans? Only unemployed losers protest a team being in 6th place.

The mighty Leeds and Eric Cantona were the team to beat.

That was the following season. Arsenal were champions in 90-91.

That year also featured the OG United-Arsenal brawl, featuring that nice young man Nigel Winterburn.
