I did not do that. Ever. 165,000 miles with the factory fluid. The perfect machine for 9 years and then the trans started hard shifting a bit. I replaced the fluid, filter, and pan, and it died not even 2 months later. A very quick death.
I sold for $1k. If the guy who bought it had the skills and tools to drop the 62te and replace the TC and pump, then the car would be worth 4k as it had ZERO problems for 9 years.
