The frequency of the dropouts as we get closer to the games is pretty hilarious. It's like watching a season of Survivor. I check iihf.com every morning to see who else has been knocked out.

But I don't necessarily blame any of these players. The NHL season is long and grueling enough without another two weeks and potential eight games to play. I'd take the rest, too, but then again, I'm not very patriotic.

The guys who wind up going to Turin are guys who will want to be there.

Just a "report" but IMO is sounds definite.

It looks like Phoenix Coyotes sniper Ladislav Nagy is going to miss the Olympics.

According to the Arizona Republic, Nagy will likely have arthroscopic knee surgery today. He will be sidelined until sometime after the Olympic tournament. The usual recovery time is three or four weeks.
