Trade has been completed with Tampa and another team. The deal brings in a backup goalie and another top4 defenseman. In just two days Tampa have now brought in two top4 defenseman and a backup goalie. Can Tampa compete in the east? I rememeber someone placing Tampa 14th! in the east before the season..

Rangers deadline update...

I'm looking to move David Aebischer (78ov - $1.6M, pending RFA) before the deadline. He'd maked a good starter for some teams going into the playoffs or good depth/injury insurance for others.

I'll also listen to offers for LW Paul Kariya (80ov).

Mike Weaver (67ov) is still available for teams needing depth on D.

All interest to: [email protected]

The Wings are pretty much done on the trade front for anything significant this year but will likely be very active this summer trying to recover from all the damage they've done to their payroll and organization in the quest for the cup ;)

Anyway, barring anything intriguing becoming available, I'm only looking at very minor moves at this time.

Looking For:
Depth 7th dman for emergency injury duty - preferrably with an expiring contract and a DF rating of 67+ (bare minimum). Can take some salary but not much.

Actively shopping for a new home (not much but they're available cheap):
Darryl Bootland
Joey MacDonald (traded 04/05/07)
Stephen Werner
Jason Pitton

Looking for a defenseman? Rumours mention that Tampa just traded for Francis Bouillon and now have nine defensmans under contract. Tampa will not finish the season with nine defenseman under contract and will probably trade one or two before the deadline in a few days.

Anyone have a decent 2nd paring PP or better offensive defenceman they are looking to rent out for the remainder of the season?

Funny thing is, I was about to post something very similar. :)

I'd be looking for a top or 2nd pairing shutdown defenceman type with high DF and decent scoring.

Someone to clean up after freaking McCabe! ;)

LOL. I have the DF, but traded away some offensive D talent and have found my offence sputtering a little... I've improved my top two lines as a result (watch for the trade news any minute now), but would like that PP specialist. Am able to take on some salary as well.

What was that? You want to talk a deal between us involving McCabe and Phillips?

The Canucks have put Richard Zednik and Jeff O'Neill on the block.

Both players have been relegated to depth roles, but have decent scoring attributes. I'd be interested in moving them for more checking-line type of players with similar contracts and ages. Any offers will be considered though.

Colorado has added two aggressiveness and defensive minded players in Derian Hatcher and Steve Begin. The only roster player leaving Colorado at the moment is 13th forward Scott Nichol. A number of prospects and picks have also been shuffled in the trades.

Colorado fans would still like to see the team add a veteran starting goaltender, as Denis hasn't been able to convince the fans that he can carry the team to a cup.

Phoenix' Leading Scorer Ben Clymer is available (59GP - 17G - 20A - 37PTS) he will enter his final year as a RFA this season, looking for alittle bit or youth or a prospect, he won't be too pricy and can play all forward and defensive position... sorry he can't play goalie tho :).

well lines to anymore trades are done unless someone wants to deal me a roster player for very cheap, or give me a good offer on a roster player i have...

you might be making a welfare playoff run if.....

- Your leading scorers are Ben Clymer and Marc-Andre Bergeron
- You started the year trying to decide wether Mike Dunham or Jocelyn Thibault should be the starting goaltender
- Mark Smith leads the team in goals.. including power-play goals
- Marc-Andre Bergeron leads the team in game winning goals
- Craig Adams scores 4 goals in his first few games with the team... 2 of them shorthanded and one of those 2 are a game winner

LOL with that said i like our chances down the stretch :)

With the addition of Hatcher, Boynton is now available for a team looking to add a good cheap aggressive defensive defenseman for a playoff run. Nick Boynton D IT75 DF75 OV74.

I'd be looking for picks/prospects in return or a 2-1 trade with Boynton and Carter for a 2nd line RW who is not UFA.
