we lost 3 in a row, we’re playing one of the worst teams in the league, and they’re without their #1 goalie. a loss would pretty much completely wipe out our hot start. call it what you want, but these are the points that matter in april. i’m calling it a must win

Oh no, you make all very good points, I don't disagree with any of it. I'm just saying the fact that every single game out of the last 30 or so last year, someone would always say this is a MUST WIN. We won a good number of them, but not nearly all of the "must wins" and still made the playoffs. I just got so sick of seeing it every game for some unexplainable reason, I was looking forward to getting through a good chuck of this year with out it. At least just through the rest of 2018.
