A little hard to lay the blame at the feet of Stunley for Kempny. Our Qlueless coach is the one that healthy scratched him for 20ish games...you know the same coach that couldn't figure out how to use Daly before we had to ship him off to Pittsburgh at a discount to win 2 straight Cups.

On Kempny, let's see a larger sample size then a few months riding shotgun with Carlson, what his contract looks like, and what the Hawks end up filling out their roster with in terms of LHD and their contract. I'm guessing he comes in at 3 years and just under 3 per year which is in the neighborhood of what John Moore, Hickey, and DeHaan end up at.

But as far as Stunley and coach Qlueless, this will be a successful season if by the end we never see either again other then on a heritage night where we get their bobbleheads.

sure kempny was better then what he showed in chicago....he was also paired with carlson all playoffs who was unreal. We can go pick up a UFA this year for the same price with the same talent..its not that big of a deal. He didnt make or break last year. I wish he would have played over some other players too but cmon he didnt force anybodies hand.

guy was a top 4 D when he first got PT in his rookie year here in NA and he made sea brook GOOD.

unfortunately Q is a complete moron so he started benching the top 4 Dman that has great Offensive instincts

then last year Q keeps Kempny in the press box more often than not will he trots out Dmen that are not near as good

Guy was top 4 because Hawks D was #### and the more Kempny played the more he made mistakes

Offensive instinct mean nothing when your the cause of constant odd man rushes and breakaways that your goalie must bail out team from

He was our third (or maybe even second) best dman and Q couldn't be bothered to even play him. It was shameful roster management.

Sorry, disagree with this take. Saddling Bowman with Q is flat out wrong. Each should be judged on their own merits. IMO, the case for relieving Q is much stronger than Bowman.

Bowman's years of cap mismanagement , poor trading and winning because of core built by others not him is more then enough

Stanley's "Big Changes" 2017 offseason alone warrants firing with how disastrous it turned out

once you finally realize that Alex DeBrincat played almost the least amount of minutes among the top 10 ROY finalists, on a team desperate for scoring wingers, maybe...just maybe you will come to your sense on how bad Q has been the past few years. You can bring up any trade or signing you want, those things sometimes work out and sometimes don't, but when you have a player right in front of your f***ing eyes since day 1 at camp that EVERYONE could see deserved more top 6 time and more than 14 f***ing minutes a night...that shows to everyone out there that you have no clue what you are doing.

and the ridiculous part of this is you can pretty much put everything I said above and insert it for Kempny just eliminate the ROY candidates... Q simply cannot be that blind or stupid on 2 players in the same year far deserving more ice time than what his non-playoff lead team got....or could he????
