Makes me MAD that Colorado will have the best opportunity to nab Hughes.

Of course it could be worse and Philly or the Rags(or the Pens) could end up with him.....

The Sens really f***ed themselves this year. It all started in June when they traded Hoffman to the Sharks for Mikkel Boedker, who is a far inferior player than Hoffman, and was a drain on the Sharks cap. Then the Sharks turn around and flip Hoffman to the Panthers an hour later for a better return.

Then they trade Karlsson in September for something more in line with what you'd expect as a deadline day return.

It really all started in November of 2017 with the Duchene trade, I guess. They really should have traded last year's pick to them. Especially since they had already dealt Hoffman and had to have already known that Karlsson would be gone soon enough.

Then again, it could work out to be better for them to have Brady Tkachuk right now in the event that pick does not win the lottery and it winds up getting pushed back. You'd rather have Hughes than Tkachuk, but you might rather have Tkachuk than someone picked 4th or 5th overall this year. That's something we won't know until the lottery happens.

He was on the wrong end of a 4-0 shutout both times he's faced us. And allowed at least 2 softies both times. Maybe even 3 the first time we faced him when he was with Vancouver.
