That’s G League IGNITE, which was a specific team created for prospects to bypass the NCAA with its archaic restrictions and school requirements. Now that NIL is a thing, it’s pretty irrelevant and unnecessary.

The G League itself has been a very successful “minor league” and doing a very nice job helping develop many young players not ready for nba action, or perhaps overlooked in the draft, into quality role players.

And it probably doesn't help team is located in Las Vegas valley with lots of distractions.
