Lind with another....first two Comet goals of the season against the Amerks. Baertschi with two primary apples. A monster year for Lind? Fingers crossed. Canucks need another young winger to step up.

No, it's just an error in the scorekeeping. It's 1-0. Hell of a shot by Lind, he's got more pop on his wrister than before. That skating, though...

Amerks turning the tide here late in the 1st.

Gillies a huge save.

Comets back to the PK. Lind 2 for slashing.

PP 2-0 Amerks.

SOG are 9-3 Rochester.

PP is over, but the Amerks still control. Out and back in. Last minute and it's still all Rochester. There it is - Goal.

1-1 with 26 seconds left.

Goals in the last minute of a period are killers.

End of the first

1-1

SOG
12-3 Rochester The Comets looked good early on but the Amerks tuned it around and dominated late.

Comets better get it back together because this one got out of hand and once again a Utica keeper is the only reason the score makes the game look even.

Comets can be thankful that St. Louis went out and signed a goalie for their AHL team before this season. The Canucks did not knowing they needed 3 keepers in Vancouver. I'm still not certain that if a keeper goes down in Vancover that DiPietro is ready to play at that level and Vancouver has no other options. Certainly can't depend on Kielly who has only played 2 AHL games with the Comets in his short pro history and had a rough go in Kalamazoo.

I don't think that was good planning, but so far so good. NHL season has a ways to go yet and with games coming one after another until the season ends it seems inevitable that there will be some bumps along the way between the pipes. Then we will see how it goes.

The Lind line looks like a good one with Baertschi and Anas. It should.

The Jasek line with McKenzie and Walker has been okay. Expect more from that trio.

Focht with Gajovich and Joshua has been unimpressive. Gadge is at a disadvantage with these two. Focht has not been bad, but he has had difficulty getting into the zone carrying the puck.

Lockwood has shown some good signs and has been physical. Arseneau is Arseneau. Problem is McGing hasn't generated much from the middle.

1st game and the newbies are adjusting to this level of play.

Is there absolutely anything about Jim Benning that says he's a good planner????

The Tucker kid is playing well with Santini, but has a tendency to head up ice before the team has actually gained solid control of the puck

Lind lambasted into the boards. A definite elbow attempt at his head. 2min call for charging.
