Chasm of Sar (north of Montreal, Qc)
My vote would be:
  • Giroux - Voracek - Gostisbehere as first line
  • Couturier - Konecny - Provorov as second
  • Patrick - Lindblom - Sanheim as third
This is for 3 static lines; I don't mean I want to cycle them as units per se, especially for unit 3. It would be ideal but there is a huge risk with three newbies together. I love it on paper, though.

Is JVR good at 3 on 3? I have no idea how he was used by Toronto cause individual overtime stats aren't available online as far as I can tell. Hence, me starting this thread.

Hak's Flyers are 2nd in the league! In losing in OT or the shootout.

NHL.com - Stats

Of course they also have 38 wins, for a perfectly average post regulation record:

26-18 in OT
12-20 in Shootouts

Weise getting that 19 second shift ahead of Laughton and Lindblom, who both got more regulation ES ice time than Weise did, was weird.

Weise didn't get used in overtime at all last season.

Up to date as of 12/27/18. Hopefully there won't be any more OT games till 2019.

2018-19: OT games ( 1 OT win, 5 OT losses, 2 SO wins, 0 SO losses)

Still no appearances in 3on3 OT for JVR as a Flyer.

That was Patrick's first OT point in his 9th time getting on the ice in overtime. He only has 6:59 in career OT TOI.

Sanheim has two OT points in 4:56 of career OT TOI. He's only made 6 appearances.

Sanheim is a great asset in the 3 v 3. Has the length, reach, skating ability and hands to be a threat and to recover when a mistake is made. Hope to see more of him in those situations.

Yup. Him and Voracek combined for a great goal against the Leafs when Giroux wasn't playing the day after Subban elbowed him in the head. Cousins was the other forward on the ice, but he didn't get an assist. Voracek being part of eight goals and not being in the ice for a single goal against is pretty impressive. And Giroux and Ghost were very close behind.

Voracek also got the only assist on this goal.

random question but wasn't that the last time Giroux missed a game?

Only 17 OT games so far. In Hak's first three seasons they played 27, 24 and 25.

It's interesting because in 15-16 and 16-17 Voracek had incredible OT numbers:

4 goals, 8 assists, on ice for only 3 ES goals against

And 15-16 was probably his worst regular season as a Flyer.
