Unfortunately, it would be hard to find data, but I suspect the games where marginal players were on the ice 3 on 3 are most likely to be those where the team came from behind and the best offensive players were being double shifted in the 3rd period.

If your top guys have tired legs, they're likely to be burnt 3x3, so it's a tradeoff, do I try to give them a few minutes of rest and hope my marginal guys can keep the other team from scoring or do I put my top guys out there and hope "dead legs" don't lead to a quick score for the other team.

Guys, cant talk about players not on the team anymore. According to some its better to just let it go.

The data is readily available. Shift charts are saved in box scores.

Yup. Him and Voracek combined for a great goal against the Leafs when Giroux wasn't playing the day after Subban elbowed him in the head. Cousins was the other forward on the ice, but he didn't get an assist. Voracek being part of eight goals and not being in the ice for a single goal against is pretty impressive. And Giroux and Ghost were very close behind.

Voracek also got the only assist on this goal.

That's why it was so odd to see him make such a careless turnover in OT in the preseason game against Boston.

This thread is really easy (and fun) to update when the Flyers win in the first 30 seconds of OT.

2017-18: 12 OT games (4 OT wins, 5 OT losses, 0 SO wins, 3 SO losses)

The wackiest stat so far is that G and Jake are within two seconds of each other in ice time, but Voracek has been on the ice for five goals against and Giroux hasn't been on the ice for any. Jake has one point and Giroux has none.

The most disappointing thing about the quick OT goals is we haven't been able to see Hak's 3rd group.
