Most player leave/get traded off their original team in their career.

But still, it just adds to the fact that Canada is still THE hockey country, but we don't have enough attractiveness for the UFAs and less team for the draft. Also, we don't have the priority thing we used to have.

Fine with me. I actually hate all the other Canadian teams except for Calgary and Winnipeg. Zero sympathy for the Sens and Leafs, they have good teams but they blew it. I despise the Canucks, I'm glad they fell apart. Edmonton is a joke.

Also, we missed the 1973, 1993, and 2013 20-year cycle by only year lol.

But 2013 was a half-season so the 20-year cycle is still in effect!

With the Toronto Maple Leafs being eliminated from playoff contention. Montreal is the only Canadian team in the playoffs this year. The last time only 1 Canadian team made the playoffs was 1973. I like most NHL fans across Canada, are behind Montreal this year our only hope of bringing the cup back to a Canadian City. I actually think the Montreal Canadians do have the talent to beat teams like Boston, Pittsburgh, Chicago and Anaheim. I hope it happens this year. Best of luck to Montreal!
