Literally expecting for the next tweet to come up after I refresh is for Hynes, coaching staff relieved of duties.

Shero also deserves alot of balme for this. Hes let this go on for multiple seasons. last year the excuse was talent, now they have talent, and the same system which to no one's surprise isn't working.
If shero keeps Haynes and this is another failure of a year he can go as well

Yeah I'd rather not see Stevens or Elias be the head coach for the obvious reason it better work or it could get really ugly with a franchise icon. I'd be down with either or both as assistants though.

On October 14th.

IF it takes an average 96 points to make the playoffs (some years it's a few points less, some a touch more, but 96 is a good bet), at a minimum the Devils will need about a .566 to a .592 win percentage from here on out (math below).

Last season there were only 8 teams better than .566, and only 7 better than .592.

So to make the playoffs this year, starting tomorrow the Devils need to be a top-10 NHL squad for the rest of the season.

I'm kind of already there tbh. We've seen enough to know that this is what Hynes is. He's a career .500 coach who has gotten a longer leash than almost anyone else in this teams history. We've fired coaches for way less. He needs to be gone before the next game. The worst part is I don't even know if that changes anything.

obviously major changes need to be made and the coach should be fired, but crazier things happen literally every season. didnt the flyers have like a 10 game winless streak a few years ago and still make the playoffs?

I mean what have they showed you to think they're capable of turning it around? We've gotten blown out, we've lost shootouts, we've lost games where we had 3 and 4 goal leads, etc. None of that is concerning to you? I hate that I even feel like this but this team has showed nothing to make me think otherwise.

Rumored to be accepting offers on Tarasenko and Pietrangelo last November; ended up lifting the Cup in June.

again there are 75 games to go. coaches get fired all the time, sometimes teams turn it around. again this team is playing terrible right now and its like 90% coaching and 10% confidence* and those things can change. the team is more talented than they're showing. the pp isnt going to go 0-for-the entire season. there is a lot ot be concerned about and you can look at my post history to see that i am very critical of the way that they are playing. but it's still october. there are 150 points left on the board up for grabs. im going to root for them to figure it out
