Recommended. Gripping 6 ep miniseries Western starring Emily Blunt as a women who comes to America around 1890 to track someone down, and Chaske Spencer as a native looking to make his own way after serving in the US Calvary.

I'd categorize it as a slow-burn drama, although there is plenty of action along the way. Fairly grounded, with the occasional moment of flair.

The real star though is the camera. This is one of the most beautifully shot TV series in recent memory. Oklahoma and Spain serve as the backdrop for a brutal America whose inhabitants are even more unforgiving than the desolate, indifferent landscape they live in.

Just for fun, I went back and watched the trailer (for the first time), and it's not good -- it doesn't do a good job of capturing the mood of the show and it spoils some moments best left to discovery in real time.

It's builds, but if the first ep was too leisurely paced for your tastes, then I'd probably bail. The eps are fairly similar from a "feel" standpoint.
