Feels like Ottawa's drafting and development is really great, seems like they always have some gem from rounds 3-7 coming along very nicely.

Batherson has looked amazing ever since he started in the AHL. We've all known this was coming, but it sure is nice to see.

I'd say his coming out party was the 2018 WJHC where he emerged as quite possibly Canada's top forward. You could tell then he was going to be special. There was hype but it wasn't proportional to what was looking like a very stable (and steep) trajectory. No one should be surprised really.

Crazy to think that Batherson was drafted 121st and is 11th in scoring from this class. Absolute steal, his offensive hockey sense is outstanding. I usually dislike when Ottawa takes late round fliers on older players (was passed up his first draft) but that is why I only make trades in NHL 21. Sokolov looks like the next overager steal.

I second this. I remember him standing out along with Kyrou and Thomas as top forwards.
