the argument for Backstrom is definitely strong. But he'll only be on the team 4 out of the next five years. Toews, as he's goind back to UND for this season, will have 4 out of the next 5 years in the pros also, maybe only 3 in the NHL. But when he is with the Hawks, he will also be playing with (probably) Havlat and Skille, with Barker and/or Seabrook feeding them the puck. I said this in the thread about career points for the top 5 picks, and I'll say it again: Backstrom may be the overall favorite <he'll definitely be a fantasy favorite of mine>, and Kessel gets a lot of love, too, but I feels Toews is eventually gonna deliver.

Good point.

But I'm thinking that once Backstrom gets over here and gets it cranked up with Ovechkin, he's going to quickly make up any ground lost to any draftees who get more games in over those five years.
