Regardless of how many points he’s put up so far, or going forward in the A, he’d better get that corrected if he wants to be a part of the team come playoffs.

At this point, there's only one slot that may be open to rotation and thats Boyd. No taking Hags or Burky out at this point, so DSP needs to show he's more valuable than Boyd, or he'll be a spectator.

I think we all agree, but it would be nice to see a long slow steady turning on of the Kuz GAS* switch, starting maybe last week, instead of waiting to the last minute.

IINM, its not the first time he's reported to an NHL camp out of shape. He just doesn't seem to have the appetite for an NHL fitness lifestyle. Hopefully, like you say, some time in the A will help him find it.

I'll be satisfied with finding it for the next 4 months and playing with an edge. I don't think Boyd has the defensive awareness for the playoffs at this stage in his development.
