So PP specialists? Nice.

Not to mention they aren't only ones asking for PP time. Drouin, Danault. Domi, Gallagher, Tatar, Shaw, Armia, Byron, etc... are on that rotation.

Or they can play full minutes in AHL. Why force the issue? Let them play where they should.
Suzuki could use some AHL time, but Poehling is ready to roll.

Clode has missed out on playoffs 4 out of last 5 yrs
The yr he made it was when he got fired from the bruins and took over for Therrien for the final 24 games

I thought he was fine until the last 20 games or so. Then some of his lineup decisions were baffling.

He's tied to the hip with Bergevin at this point though, if they don't make the playoffs next year they're both gone.

It's amazing that CJ has been here for 2 and half years now, and some posters here haven't figured out that he rolls 4 lines...

The problem with that plan is that the head coach is allergic to developing young talent its been proven over and over again that at the first mistake or sign of adversity he immediately falls back on defensive vets every single time so its obviously not much of a plan
It's less bad than his first 1.5 year with us tho. The Ducharme/Richardson effects got a significant positive changes on him. He's the type of coach that is willing to keep his job. With whatever the means for achieving it. I blame him for this.

Mostly, in fact knowing his career as a coach is way near or close to an end.

Fair enough hopefully they can limit the damage.

I am befuddled that Bergevin hasn't yet fired Kirk Muller. Let him interview for the Sens head coach position or is bilingual Marc Crawford on Pierre Dorion's short list?

Geoff Molson's mandate to Bergey and Julien is mostly definitely make the playoffs next season or two heads will roll.

Clod gonna Clod............the game is passing him by...hate to say it. Hopefully Bouchard and Ducharme will save the team next year.

The kids are where the game is, and Clod just can't handle that...younger players everywhere are winning games for their teams, and meanwhile Clod is nailing our kids to the bench. Not sure if Poehling and Suzuki would get used properly next year by Clod, or not?

Player plays too many minutes and produces more ? Who knew.

What are you on about?

Petry was 27th in P/60 (minimum 300 minutes) among D-men. Best on the Habs. Better than Ghost, Hamilton, Piets, Jones, Sergachev, OEL, etc. He was 2rd in G/60.

Shaw was 51st in P/60 (minimum 300 minutes) among forwards. The same as Mark Schiefele, better than guys like Couture, Voracek, ROR, Backstrom, Larkin, etc. Domi was the only Hab forward that produced points more efficiently. Hell, even G/60-wise he was 83rd among forwards, better than Panarin, Eichel and other notables.

The bolded position is incoherent.

Lol.. So Petry didn't benefit from first PPs and offensive assignments late in games when Weber wasn't here ? Shaw didn't benefit from the poor RW depth ? ... Jesus take your head out of your stats a bit, man.

Petry's P/60 and G/60 numbers at ES were actually better than his all situation numbers. I don't even get your issue with Petry. It wasn't just his production that was great. He carried Montreal's D for months and stepped up in other areas. Montreal's PP has actually been better with him than with Weber the past two seasons.

And isn't it a point in Julien's favour that he put Shaw and Petry in a position where they could produce at the rate of a first liner and a low-end #1D?

Your position that they produced because they played too many minutes makes no sense, because isolating out their minutes makes them look even better.

Put your head in the stats a bit man, especially when making an argument based entirely on stats.

Wrong about what ? Petry has been producing the same numbers for more or less 200 games, it's not on Julien, it's on Weber being injured.

Thank you. So Shaw, Danault, Petry, Domi and Tatar have had career years. That's pretty good.
