Jones definitely needs to work on his footwork and defending. He keeps getting walked game after game, but it's also not fair to have him in a top 4 role at the start of his NHL career.

I think jones just needs to adjust to the nhl more so, if only we could shelter him on a 3rd pair

    @ElysiumAB

Totally forgot about the PGT tune last night. Since the Oilers won but didn’t dominate the game, “Domination” and “Suicide Note” didnt apply last night. Since it went to OT, hopefully “5 Minutes Alone” will suffice.:)

He's going to look great next to Gravel playing bottom pair once Klefbom is back

It's not only physical. Traveling, press events etc etc. I much prefer the players of my team to stay home and stay focused on the game and the last push for playoffs.

I hate the all-star event though so I could be a tad biased

The guys don't stay home during the Allstar break. Zack Stortini was on my flight to mexico over the ASB a while back.

I get the travel being crappy, but they've got a long break after the game. I hate the game too, but I love the skills competition...

Allright, I'll rephrase, to disconnect in the way the think most appropriate. Home, travel, just stay away from the circus for a week or so. Recharge the batteries.

I'd rather Draisaitl go. Him and McDavid will light it up. I don't think this will hinder them at all.

    Hitchcock’s postgame presser.

Says he hopes to hear some good news about Klefbom “tomorrow or the next day”, so hopefully we get some news later on today.

Also said some very positive things about the team in the first question asked.

I'm sure this was mentioned but after McDavid tied it up Kevin Quinn said "26 goals on the night for Connor McDavid" without even a hint that he said something wrong. He's a match made in heaven for this organization.

Can't say I'm thrilled with the team needing a goal with 8secs left to tie and then winning it in OT on shootout capades. meh, I wasn't able to watch most of the game due to the feed not working so maybe I'd feel differently if I had been able to watch but I'm not moved by this. Kind of feel like these results just prolong the Chiarelli incumbency. Would like to get a New GM in sooner rather than later.

I think that was the last game of the season against Vancouver. I could be wrong though.

I think he'll get season out and then playoffs or no, he'll go or be let go.

Edit: I could be wrong, but that is how I see it play out. I can't imagine he'll be here come next TC. That Manning signing was it, and everyone knows it (I mean every knows it was an idiot move)

Not at all an Oilers fan (Go Jets Go!), but was offered free lower bowl tickets so took my 8 year old son.

McDavid is McDavid, and of course worth the price of admission. Nurse did look to be in fine form, and Drai and Nuge made some moves. Rest of the team looked terrible. I couldn't see very well (I was at the opposite end zone) but that 5 on 3 for 53 seconds when the Oil couldn't even get a freakin' shot on net was fairly disgusting.

Lots of people leaving the final few minutes. I spotted at least one couple sheepishly sneak back into their seats for OT. Certainly an exciting finish - first shoot out I've ever seen in person. Certainly worth the price I paid to get in, but if I were a fan I'd be hard-pressed to go to many games where they show that kind of effort.

If Chia signs with another team after his firing, we'll probably have to fork out a 2nd rounder in order for them to take him. Such is how the Oilers roll.
