Just wanna note when was the last time this team tied the game with their goalie pulled twice in a season?

I had a hoot at that game. I never understood why people leave a 1 goal game early to beat five minutes of traffic. Tickets are not cheap and you never know if you are going to see something special. (McDavid scores with 8 seconds).

I have to say I don't get it too in a one goal game. Mind you I was almost hoping Florida would score on the empty net just so I could leave early (glad they didn't - much more exciting the way it turned out), but no way I was leaving a one goal game.

Another strange fact with this years Oilers. They have beaten every single Western team this year, but one. Vancouver. Alternatively, they've only beat one team twice and that is Chicago. Also the only Eastern they've lost twice against is Tampa.

What does it mean, I don't know. Probably just that having McDrai means they are good enough to beat every team in the league on any given night, but because there is nothing else they are also bad enough to be beaten by every team in the league on any given night.

The Oilers very much needed this victory as a morale boost with the way things have gone for them recently. Good games from McDavid, Draisaitl, and general defense. But it was another bad game in terms of puck movement up from the defensive zone and forechecking pressure. Goaltending didn't suck.
