Indeed, Lions should go back to these. The ones they wore after those were decent, but the current jersey is terrible IMO.

I love the uniforms for how they look, and they touch off all the nostalgic stuff from everyone’s favourite western final, and stand against the Baltimore cflers.

It's been over 20 years since the league awareded two Cups at once. Planning on going to the Hammer in a few years time.

I remember the 96’ game in the snow. A couple of my buddies got tix last minute for cheap. I’ll always remember that shoe top catch by Brown.

Pretty gross to the see Argos win it in Tigertown.

Hopefully the Cats will be in this one. Now that would be pretty sweet.

Possible changing of the guard ownership-wise in Montreal happening.



It's been a steady downhill slide since Andrew Wettenhal has taken over. Rumors are that the new suitors include local and Quebecois investors which will be a major plus should this happen.

If true it's time to move forward. None of the dithering like Braley in BC, but this seems more pressing.

Grey Cup getting a new base

Each past winner will get their own plate now. In 2020, the winner of 1909's plate will be removed and placed in the HOF.

This way, Winnipeg will stay on the trophy until 2101

Looks like the big winners of the draft are Winnipeg, Hamilton and Calgary. Edmonton and Toronto are the big losers.

Green is a physical runner but was often dinged up. American running backs are a dime a dozen. They have a few guys including Irons who they drafted they can slot in. They also picked up former Roughrider Cam Marshall.

Capiccotti wasn't too effective last year and was making starter money as a backup. They drafted some d-linemen and have some other young Canucks waiting in the wings like McGough.

Ti-Cats have developed a real strong stable of Canadian talent across the board.

It was tough watching his last game live as he was carted off a the field. A very hushed BMO field.

Rumours have the new CBA signed today or tomorrow. Expected but good news regardless.

Edit: CFL has announced a tentative agreement pending players voting and bog approving.

Good news on the CBA front. No one has anything to gain from a work stoppage or continued sabre rattling.

In 2014 the agreement was reached more than a week after the last one expired so despite people sounding off in the media along the way, this one was not as contentious.

According to Tony Mariano at TSN Montreal, the board has approved the sale of the Alouettes to a group lead by Vince Guzzo.

Group doing it's due diligence. Guzzo mentions he would like to change the name to Quebec Alouettes. I don't care for that change but new local ownership is what this team as needed for a long time.

Quebec Alouettes? Don't know if I agree with that. I've always imagined Quebec City possible getting a CFL team somewhere down the line so I don't think Quebec Aloutettes would work.

There's always been talk of a Quebec City team, but it has only ever been just that. With the Atlantic Schooners seemingly on the verge of becoming the tenth team, I doubt we see a Quebec City franchise any time remotely soon.

Good news for the Als, hopefully this new guy is able to return the franchise to respectability.

The large patio on the end of the stadium was one of the many things Tim Hortons Field got right when it was built. I'll definitely be sitting in the stands, but this would have been a great alternative for sure
